Using Free Potluck Signup
Free Potluck Signup provides shared contribution lists for event planning. By using the service you agree to use it lawfully and respect other participants. If you do not agree to these terms, do not create or contribute to a sheet. The service is provided without a signup fee in this release.
Host responsibilities
Hosts choose the event details, distribute the guest link and manage contributions. You are responsible for keeping your host browser access secure and sharing links only with intended participants. Host access is stored in your browser; clearing storage can remove your ability to manage or delete the event. A shared link can be forwarded by anyone who receives it.
Guest contributions
Enter accurate contribution descriptions and a suitable display name. Claiming a row records your intention to contribute; it is not a purchase, reservation with a supplier or guarantee that another participant will attend. Coordinate cancellations and corrections with the host. Do not overwrite or interfere with other participants’ contributions.
Acceptable use
Do not post unlawful, abusive, deceptive or infringing content, expose another person’s private information, distribute malicious links, automate spam, attempt unauthorized access or disrupt the service. You retain responsibility for the content you submit and permit us to store and display it as necessary to provide the shared sheet.
Planning and food information
Menus, quantities, checklists and guides are general planning suggestions. Hosts and guests must independently confirm portions, ingredients, allergies, food handling, venue rules and event arrangements. A contribution label does not verify that food is safe or suitable for a guest. The service does not certify allergen-free preparation.
Availability and changes
We may update features, apply reasonable technical limits or suspend misuse. Availability, uninterrupted access and preservation of every entry cannot be guaranteed. Print or save a copy of important event arrangements and communicate directly with participants when needed.
Limitations
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without warranties concerning suitability, availability or event outcomes. We are not responsible for participants’ conduct, food preparation or attendance. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
Privacy, deletion and questions
Our privacy policy explains how event data and browser storage are used. Hosts can delete their event through the host browser.
